Resumo
Este trabalho desenvolve uma descrição da Bacia de Campos, estabelecendo os fatores críticos que controlaram a formação desta província petrolífera tão expressiva, caracterizando o sistema petrolífero e a formação dos principais campos da bacia, através da análise do contexto geotectônico, estratigráfico e estrutural, com referência ao breve histórico de exploração e aos resultados obtidos.
Abstract
This work presents a theoretical description of Campos Basin and establishes the key factors controlling the formation of this world class petroleum province, characterizing the petroleum system and the formation of the most productive fields of the basin through the geotectonic, stratigraphic, and structural analysis of the context, with reference to a brief history of the exploration performed and the results obtained.
